Design and Technology

Design and Technology plays an important part in our school in the development of the pupils’ understanding and enjoyment of the real world in which they live.  It also contributes to their personal and social education.

DT helps pupils to appreciate the variety and nature of materials and the ways in which they may be worked.  It also gives all pupils an awareness that they can affect and control their environment.

We aim to give all children a strong understanding of the world around them whilst acquiring specific skills and knowledge to help them to think critically and problem solve, to gain an understanding of DT processes and also an understanding of the uses and implications of DT today and for the future.
